About Us

Ace Ramierez is a martial arts master and the owner and director of the Filipino Kali Academy of Bergenfield and Norwood in New Jersey. He is also the chief instructor at KRU Training, where he teaches various martial arts disciplines such as taekwondo, kung fu, karate, muay thai, and pananandata.

He started his martial arts journey in 1980 as a 7th-degree black belt and trained under GrandMaster Ok Hyung Kim, the founder of Kyuki-Do. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1988 and then returned to Bergenfield in 1998, where he introduced Filipino martial arts to the public.

He has over 40 years of training and over three decades of teaching experience. He has traveled, competed, and taught martial arts around the world, including in Korea and China. He has also been featured on MTV's show "Made" where he helped a young girl use muay thai to reach her personal goals.

His mission is to make a positive impact on as many lives in our community as possible through martial arts. He believes in building a strong foundation of self-discipline, self-esteem, and respect that can be transferred to all aspects of life. He teaches exciting, hi-energy, age-appropriate drills that build strength, stamina, endurance, and life skills.
